General Disclaimer

(applicable on all products)

  1. The colors and appearance of products reflecting on websites, catalogue and other printed marketing material (hereinafter jointly referred as "marketing materials") are only for a fair representation of the products. Due to technical limitations of photographic and printing technology, the original product may appear different from the marketing materials. The appearance and color of original product may also vary due to various external factors. Buyers/Consumers are advised to properly check the color & appearance of the actual product before placing any order. Any claim for variation in color or appearance between the final product and its appearance in any marketing material will not be entertained.
  2. The warranty attached to products, if any, shall not be applicable for defects or damage arising from any of the following:
    • – Accidents
    • – Abuse or misuse,
    • – Exposure to extreme temperature or non-recommended chemical, oil, solvent etc.
    • – Improper fabrication or installation,
    • – Improper maintenance or exposure to any sharp or damaging substance
    • – Damage due to civil, plumbing, drainage or other structural defect of premises or any repair thereof.
  3. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are made. Under no circumstances shall the manufacturer be liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase, use, or inability to use the product, or for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damage. No fabricator, installer, dealer, agent, or employee of Merino Industries Limited has the authority to modify the obligation or limitation of the warranty.
  4. High-Pressure Laminates (except Metalam and liner products) are manufactured and tested to EN 438 and all High Pressure Laminates are meant for indoor use unless specified of exterior grade. It is advised to avoid use in areas exposed to direct sunshine or light-reflective.
  5. Product specific technical guidelines must be adhered to during the process of installation and fabrication. Any variation will disentitle the consumer/purchaser from warranty attached to the product, if any.
  6. Abrasive cleaners should not be used to clean Merino high-pressure laminate as these may damage the surface and result in scratching.
  7. The protective Poly coating should be removed before post-forming.
  8. Merino reserves the right to amend the specification of the products without prior notice.
  9. Product specific additional Disclaimer/guidelines (applicable on below products range in addition to above general Disclaimer)
    • – Fire Retardant (FR+)

      – Any Bonded products and components used with FR+ products are not covered under the warranty applicable to FR+ products (Fire Retardant Laminate). All combinations must be FR tested independently to meet specific requirements

    • – UNI+ Laminates

      – Unicolor range should not be used with Plywood as a substrate. Use of MDF or Particleboard is recommended. Unicolor sheets expand more in width than in length. It is not recommended to paste a single sheet Unicolor more than 2ft in width.

    • – Luvih Laminates (Anti-fingerprint)

      – Luvih surface should not be cut directly upon. It is recommended to use a chopping board for cutting purpose. A sharp or pointed object such as knife with force can damage the surface and should be avoided for durable product performance. Hot vessels direct from the burner should not be kept on the Luvih Surface.

      – The performance of the product is dependent on the machinery and the process employed by the user. Merino recommends product trials done before full fabrication for optimal results.

    • – Metalam Laminates

      – Metalam Laminates have less abrasion and are intended for vertical use only.

    • – Magnetic

      – Recommended writing materials and cleaning procedures should only be used on the laminate surface

      – Magnetic laminates are intended for vertical use only

      – The presence of integrated metal foil can likely create sparks during fabrications. It is recommended to take necessary safety precautions. Appropriate techniques and work practices are the responsibility of the installer.

    • – Liner

      – All Liner is supplied without protective poly-coating and the surface does not conform to EN:438 specifications.
